SCT is implementing detailed production planning at six ASK Chemicals locations—with the first go-live scheduled for October 2026
Herzogenrath, September 15, 2026 – ASK Chemicals, a leading supplier of foundry additives and high-performance industrial resins, is expanding the use of DISKOVER PP/DS internationally. The company has commissioned SCT Supply Chain Technologies GmbH to implement detailed production planning at six locations in Germany, Spain, the U.S., and Mexico. The rollout will begin as early as October 2026 in Wülfrath and will then be gradually expanded to the other locations.
A tight schedule is planned for the first rollout phase: Wülfrath (DE) is expected to be followed by Cleveland West (US), Bilbao (ES), and Bendorf (DE) by the end of 2026. Cleveland East (US) and El Carmen (MX) are scheduled to join the project later on. The goal is to establish a common planning framework for detailed production planning across all plants while taking into account the specific requirements of each location.
“In SCT, we have found a partner that not only offers DISKOVER PP/DS—a powerful and practical solution for our production planning—but also addresses our specific requirements with a high degree of flexibility and exceptional speed of implementation. We particularly value the collaborative partnership, the open, two-way communication with SAP, and the ability to implement individual requirements quickly and effectively. In combination with DISKOVER Sales Forecasting and the use of AI-driven forecasting strategies, we are laying the foundation for even more precise planning, lower inventory levels, and further optimization of our working capital.” Christian Dusek, CIO & Operations Manager Europe at ASK Chemicals, is convinced: “This combination is crucial, especially for our international rollout: We want to move forward quickly while at the same time addressing the specific requirements of our individual production sites.”
Quick implementation and flexible customization
The tight project schedule places high demands on the implementation and portability of the solution. Once developed, planning logic and structures can be reused for additional locations using DISKOVER PP/DS and adapted to the respective production conditions. Plug-in interfaces also make it possible to integrate customer-specific logic into the planning of individual production areas in a targeted manner.
Robert Reineke, Managing Director of SCT Supply Chain Technologies GmbH, explains: “The timeline is ambitious. Within a few months, we plan to have DISKOVER PP/DS up and running at four locations in three countries. This will allow us to apply proven planning structures to additional plants while taking into account the specific characteristics of each production facility.”
DISKOVER PP/DS helps planners identify suitable planning proposals even when there are numerous possible production sequences. Among other factors, it takes into account available capacities, deadlines, and other constraints. This allows for faster evaluation of different planning scenarios and a more transparent visualization of bottleneck situations. The decision on which production plan to implement remains with the planner. With this international rollout, ASK Chemicals is establishing a common set of tools and methods for detailed production planning across multiple plants and countries.
